Meet The Founder

Ms. Miriam began her artistic journey at the age of 14, participating in weekly lessons under the guidance of Barbara Yeterian for four foundational years. During this period, she trained in the fundamental practices of drawing, color theory, and painting; while simultaneously studying at the Art Students League where she learned traditional painting methods and techniques in acrylic and oil painting. Afterward, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts diploma from Carnegie Mellon University, with a triple major in Painting, Photography, and Printmaking. Graduating with College Honors, Ms. Miriam received the prestigious Paul Mellon Award, an accolade that recognized her as part of the top 3% of her graduating class.

Her pursuit of artistic knowledge led her to further studies at the Academy of Fine Art in Krakow, Poland where she spent 6 months learning how to make oil paint, studied mediums, varnishes, and oils, and practiced traditional Dutch oil techniques. Upon returning to New York Ms. Miriam studied painting from life at the Art Students League of New York. This academic journey culminated in a Master of Fine Arts in Human Anatomy from the New York Academy of Art. Ms. Miriam began her teaching career as a volunteer educator at the Carnegie Museum while still a student at Carnegie Mellon in 2008. After graduation, she ventured into the production realm, working full-time as a Post-Production Artist with fashion brands on advertising, design, image retouching, and art direction.

Nevertheless, her passion for teaching remained a constant. She continued her teaching expertise as a Teaching Assistant at the Art Students League of New York, where she assisted in teaching painting and drawing to children every Saturday morning. Additionally, she served as a Teaching Assistant at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, guiding freshmen through Drawing I and Painting I courses.

Since 2018, Ms. Miriam has devoted her home studio to providing private and group lessons for children, fostering the next generation of creatives in an encouraging and inspiring environment.

Since 2012, Ms. Miriam has been a recognized professional artist and has established an international career in oil painting. Her paintings have been shown in New York, Los Angeles, Canada, Mexico, Australia, China, The Netherlands, Italy, England, Portugal, and more — and her work is widely collected by art collectors, patrons, A-List Celebrities, and has appeared in television shows.
